Barbara Ardoin, 97, beloved mother and maw-maw was called to her heavenly home on June 11, 2024.
She was born on May 17, 1927, in San Jose, CA to Robert and Beatrice (Fawcett) Mosher. She and her husband Joel moved to Trinidad over 50 years ago.
Barbara had a great love for many things, but her most cherished things were her ten children and host of grandchildren, great, and great-great grandchildren. She had a passion for cooking and loved cooking holiday meals for her family and community. Her yeast rolls and gumbo will be greatly missed. Although she enjoyed cooking, she never turned down going out to eat with family and friends. She had a beautiful talent with flowers. She worked many years as a florist in Malakoff. She loved to travel and going back to Louisiana to visit family. She especially loved it when she was able to travel to Washington and California to see family she had not known until she was grown. If you had time to listen, she loved to talk and tell stories about her family and keep everyone updated on all the kids. Many times, she would tell a story about herself which would leave her and the listener laughing. She loved her cats and dogs over the years.
She is preceded in death by her soul mate Joe Ardoin, parents Robert and Beatrice Mosher, sons Robert Ardoin, Joel Ardoin, and daughter Mary Louise Ardoin.
Barbara is survived by her children whom she loved with all her heart Bobbie Jo and Bobby Ardoin, Beatrice and Dwain Smith, Pam and Steve McClintock, Debbie Buchanan, Susie Colvin and Wes, Terry Hawkins, Lisa and Wesley Anding, Thomas Ardoin. Her legacy lives on through an abundance of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Trinidad Methodist Church, TX with Pastor Virgil Feinsod officiating.
