Barsha Whitley

Barsha Whitley, 79, was called to her heavenly home on April 5, 2025.

She entered this world on April 27, 1945 in Waxahachie, TX, born to James and Maudie McWhorter. Barsha lived a life full of joyful activities like baking, hosting game nights and holiday get togethers. She loved to sing and participate in anything to do with church. She and her late husband, Bobby, proudly displayed a plaque which read "In appreciation to Bobby & Barsha Whitley for 34 years of faithful service" from Wildwood Baptist Church. Barsha was also part of John Roman Bibles, an organization, having the motto "Bearing Precious Seed Work", which sent Bibles overseas.

Barsha is preceded in death by the love of her life, Bobby Whitley, parents James and Maudie McWhorter, brother James Sonny McWhorter, and granddaughter April.

She is survived by her children Tony Whitley and wife Suzzette, Terry Whitley and wife Cindy, Tim Whitley and wife Cassandra, Mellissa Keel and husband Kevin; grandchildren Amanda, Joshua, Jeremy, Matt, Kimberly, Tiffany, Tristan, Tanner, Rachael, Dusty, Hunter; twenty-four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and best friend Peggy Baumgardner.

Visitation for Barsha will be from 6-8PM, Wednesday April 9, 2025, Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home 403 E. Royall Blvd., Malakoff, TX. Service will be 10AM, Thursday April 10, 2025, Wildwood Baptist Church, 275 VZCR 2710, Mabank, Tx. Pallbearers will be Dusty Whitley, Josh Whitley, Jeremy Whitley, Matthew Whitley, Trenton Arrington, and Tanner Varvil, with Bro. Brian McWhorter officiating.
