Betty Jean Pfannstiel Atkins age 83 of Scottsville, KY. Died Wednesday, August 24 at 2:55 pm in Scottsville, KY. She was born in Cibolo, Texas to the late Hugo and Laura Achteberg Pfannstiel. She is the widow of John E. Atkins Sr. She is survived by her son, John E. Atkins Jr and his wife Yvonne of Farmers Branch, Texas. Daughters, Sherry Lynn Shipley and husband Richard of Scottsville, KY and Edith Annette Atkins of Nashville, TN. 4 grandsons, JT and Eric Atkins and Kaleb and Ralston Shipley. A Graveside service will be held on Monday, August 29 at 10:00 am at the Malakoff City Cemetery in Malakoff, Texas. Huckabee-Tomlison Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements in Malakoff, Texas. Local arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel in Bowling Green, KY.
