Brenda Grimes

Brenda Grimes, 68, was called to her eternal resting place on April 1, 2024.

She entered this world on September 4, 1955 in Abilene, TX, born to Howard and Vernie (Bleeker) Cargill Sr.

She had a great joy for life and loved being around her grandbabies, her girls and family. She loved to laugh and would often prank her kids and family. She loved her coffee and was known to drink it all day long. Brenda enjoyed dancing and music. She also loved card games and board games and was known for cheating just to win.

She is preceded in death by parents Howard & Vernie Cargill Sr.; husband Marshall E. Grimes; son Michael Nathaniel Grimes; grandsons Michael Ciro Kinyk, Anthony Ciro Kinyk and ten siblings.

She is survived by her children Brandy Johnson & husband Phil, Amanda & Billy Brazell, Cheryl & Robert Holmes; grandchildren Cynthia & husband K, Johnathan, Brittany & fiance James, Nicky, Bella, Travis & wife Ashleigh, Brenda & fiance TJ, Linda, Michael, Angel, Patrick, Destinee, Summer; great-grandchildren Barron, Luna, Candice, Mary Jane who's due in June; sisters Wanda, Ivy, Cindy, Shirley; and lots of loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at Huckabee-Tomlinson Chapel, 100 Tomlinson Lane, Seven Points, TX.

Service will be at 2:00 PM Thursday April 11, 2024 at Huckabee-Tomlinson Chapel. Interment to follow at Trinidad Cemetery, Trinidad, TX.

Serving as pallbearers will be Billy Brazell, Phil Johnson, Robert Holmes, Michael Holmes, Nick Diaz and Kelly Mangum. Honorary Pallbearer K King. Officiating will be Bro. Dane Goode.
