Calvin Coolidge Johnson, age 97, passed away on November 4, 2024.

He was born on June 1, 1927 in Cap City, TX to Walter Johnson and Hazel Johnson.

Calvin loved life and being outdoors. As a child he went to County Line school through the seventh grade. By the time he was 17, he was working full time. He enjoyed working on the farm gardening and tinkering. Give him a stick and a string and he could make something useful out of it. He liked sitting outside hanging out with the chickens and watching the grandchildren play.

He was preceded in death by his life partner Jan Krause; his parents Walter and Hazel Johnson; brothers Ray Johnson, Walter Johnson Jr., Travis Johnson; sisters Zelma Blake, and Louisa Knight.

Calvin is survived by family members Kristy and Ryan Bennett, Jeremy and Crystal Kinman, Gus Bennett, Harley Bennett, Brandon and Jenny Barker, Cayle Jones, Lizzy Jones, Pacey Barker, and Branch Barker. Also a part of his legacy he leaves behind are numerous friends and a community that was blessed to know him.

Public Viewing will be held Thursday, 7th of November, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home. Service be 11:00 AM with Bro. Jared Heimer officiating.
