Carl Edward Baumgardner of Gun Barrel City, TX passed away on February 25, 2014 in Wills Point, TX at the age of 92. Carl was born on October 11, 1921 in Dallas, TX to Ray Baumgardner and Edith Cory Winchester Baumgardner. Carl served in the U.S. Navy from August 24, 1942 until November 20, 1945. He was a former employee at Dallas Times Herald, TWA, Kansas City, MO and Braniff Airways, freight agent at Johnson Motor Freight, Hyde Appliance in Ft. Worth, Lone Star Gas from 1947 to 1968, Florist Industry, traveling sales person, American Floral Service from 1970 to 1976, Owner of Capt'n B Florist from 1980 to 1999 in Gun Barrel City, TX. He is survived by his sister, Helen Carter, grandson, Tony Holt, step son, Basil Holt. He was preceded in death by parents, Ray and Edith Baumgardner , wife, Willie Lee Baumgardner, former wife, Norma Reinert Baumgardner, brothers, Richard and Robert Baumgardner. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28, 2014 from 6 to 8 PM at Huckabee/Tomlinson Funeral Home in Seven Points, TX. Service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Beacon Church of Christ in Gun Barrel City, TX. Interment will be held on Monday, March 3, 2014 at 9:00 AM at Dallas - Ft Worth National Cemetery. Clergy: Ken Maddox
