Flat Woods, Kentucky Native and Navy Chief Petty Officer (ret.) Charles Floyd Blanton 81, passed away at his home early Saturday morning, November 4, 2017 in Trinidad, TX surrounded by love ones.
Born in Flat Woods, Kentucky on March 20, 1936, he joined the Navy at the age of 20 in 1956.  Navy Chief Petty Officer (ret.) Charles Floyd Blanton served in the U.S. Navy for 25+ years before retiring.
Preceded in death by "The Love of His Life" Margarett Ann Bolton Blanton; Father, Jessie Blanton; Mother Ida Kimbler Blanton; Brother, Bobby Blanton.
Survived by his brothers, Eddie Blanton of Florida and Estel Blanton of Kentucky.
Five sons, James Blanton, Donald Syfrett, James Syfrett, Bill Syfrett and Jerry Syfrett; Daughter and loving caregiver for the past 3 yrs Angela Berry, daughters Lori Syfrett, Tracie Blanton and Delores McCarter; 21 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.  He also had numerous nieces and nephews he loves as his own.
Friends will be received Monday November 6, 2017, 3pm, 6:00-8:00pm at the Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home, Seven Points, TX.
Services will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2017, 3pm at the Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home, Seven Points, TX; with Dane Goode officiating.
Interment will follow in the Trinidad City Cemetery, Trinidad, TX
