Dewayne Grayer, a lifetime resident of Malakoff, Texas, was born on December 22, 1962, as the only son of Valuen Grayer and Ida Mae Grayer. As a youth, Dewayne united with the Antioch Baptist Church where he was baptized under the leadership of Rev. Bruce Bradford.
He received his formal education from the Malakoff Independent School District graduating as a member of the class of 1981. Professionally, Dewayne dedicated many years as a worker for the City of Malakoff.
On Tuesday, October 8th, he was called to his heavenly home. He was preceded in death by his father, Valuen Grayer.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his Children: Tayler Grayer, Lanessa Dawson, and Octavia Faith Dowell; his Significant Other: Tara Walker; Mother: Ida Mae Grayer; Siblings: Deborah Grayer, Dianna Grayer Dora, Cheryl Moore, Tyron (Tamara) Tatum; Uncle: Freddy (Betty) Allen; three (3) grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends who will continue to share his memory.
Visitation for Dewayne Grayer will be 3-5 PM, Friday October 18, 2024 at Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home, Malakoff, TX. Service will be 11:00 AM Saturday October 19, 2024 at Antioch Baptist Church, 1511 W. Royall Blvd., Malakoff, TX.
