Eddie Pogue

Eddie "Bubba Jean" Pogue Jr., 74,of Malakoff was called to his heavenly home on July 9, 2023.

Eddie was born on September 4, 1948 in Dallas, TX, to Eddie Pogue Sr. and Betty Pogue.

Eddie is known all around as "Bubba Jean" the owner and operator of the famous Bubba Jeans Restaurants. The best seafood buffet around. He proudly served his country in the Navy.

Bubba is preceded in death by his parents Eddie Sr. and Betty Pogue, and sister Linda Quattlebaum.

He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years Brenda Pogue, children Eddie Lee Pogue III, Jacob Pogue, Laurie Kay Rogers and husband Harold, Michael Ray Dickens and wife Christy, David Paul Dickens and wife Melody, brother Ricky Pogue and wife Annette. Bubba's legacy will continue to live on in his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Service for Bubba Jean is 4:00 PM Friday, July 14, 2023 at Faith Church of Athens, 901 Mission Ave., Athens with Pastor Darren Miller officiating.

Serving as pallbearers is Michael Dickens, David Dickens, Mike Welch, Nick Yaws, Jacob Deatley, Bobby McLaughlin, Austin Pogue.
