Emmett was born in Dallas, TX to Thomas and Lucille Sumrall.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Thomas Sumrall, Lucille Sumrall, wife; Donna Sumrall, son; David Sumrall, and daughter-in-law Suzanne Sumrall.
He is survived by his son; Emmett and wife Laura Sumrall Jr., 17 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services for Emmett will take place Sunday, February 3, 2019 with visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. at Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home, immediately followed by a graveside service at Malakoff Cemetery.
