Fred Cheek

Fred Cheek 75 of Malakoff, TX passed away March 25, 2016 in Athens, TX. Fred was born December 19, 1940 in Winnsboro, TX to Sidney Conwell Cheek and Viga Mildred Cheek. He and his wife Ann moved to the lake area in 2008. He was a member of the Mason's. He is survived by his wife Ann, sons James Albert and Everett Eugene Cheek, daughters Debra, Elizabeth and her husband Paul, grandchild Taylor Honey Cheek, brothers Albert and William Cheek and sister Shirley Harris. Fred is preceded in death by his parents Sidney and Viga Cheek, sister Sara Duke, brothers Sidney and Johnny Cheek, and nephew Johnny William Cheek. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 28 from 6-8pm at Caney Creek Baptist Church, Caney City, TX. Service will be on Tuesday, March 29 at 2pm at Caney Creek Baptist Church, with Bro. Wayne Pitchford officiating. Interment will be in Payne Cemetery.
