Geraldine Sanner

Geraldine Sanner, long time resident of Houston, TX passed away on May 2, 2022 in Athens, TX at age 94. Born September 15, 1927 at Edgemont in Washington County, MD, she was the daughter of the late Josiah and Maude Smith. Geraldine was a 1945 graduate of Hagerstown High School and a 1949 graduate of the University of Maryland.

She is survived by her son David Paul Sanner of Athens, TX; daughter Christine and her husband David Wyatt of Roseville, CA; sister Mary Josephine Hoover of Smithsburg, MD; 3 grandchildren, 2 great-granddaughters; niece Sherry Stouffer of Adamstown, MD; nephew Phil Hoover of Ellicott City, MD; and many loved ones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband David MacDonald Sanner and daughter-in-law Sandra Sanner.

Memorial Services will be conducted Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, MD. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
