Horace Andrew "Andy" Jackson

Horace Andrew Jackson Jr. of Malakoff, Texas passed away on December 8, 2016 at the age of 86. Horace was born on May 4. 1930 in Memphis, Texas to Horace Andrew Jackson and Sena Hogue Jackson. Horace serviced in Public Education of Texas for 40 years and retired from Grand Prairie Elementary where he was principal. He was a member and a Deacon of the First Baptist Church in Malakoff, Texas, member of the Masonic Lodge # 478, Shrine Temple, Scottish Rite, York Rite Mason, life member of the PTA, Singing Man of East Texas, Southern Baptist of Texas Convention, Loins Club and Rotary Club. He is survived by his wife Mary Helen Jackson, sons, Mark and wife Vicki Jackson, Horace and wife Kendra Jackson, step sons, Ray and wife Karen Meigs, Tim and wife Teresa Heflin, brother, Joe Jackson, 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Horace Andrew and Sena Jackson, daughter, Sena Jane Vinet. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2016 from 2 to 4 at First Baptist Church in Malakoff, Texas. Service will be held on Monday, December 12, 2016 at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Malakoff, Texas. Interment will be held at 3:00 PM at Forrest Hills Cemetery in Longview, Texas. Clergies: Robert Webb and Casey Perry. Pallbearers: Jim Gilfillin, Van Limerck, Harold Shields, David Clardy, Jim Richardson, Bill Gordon.
