Hugh Albert McSweeney, 79 years old of Malakoff, TX, passed away on April 30, 2015 in Tyler, TX . He was born in Jacinto City, TX, son of James E. McSweeney and Amanda "Rose" Kipp . He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Athens, TX, and was a retired employee of TXU.
Hugh was preceded in death by Father, James E. McSweeney, Mother, Amanda "Rose" Kipp, two brothers, and one sister. He is survived by his Wife, Rebecca McSweeney, Daughter, Stacy Gay Slater and husband, Dennis Slater, Son, Kipp Patrick McSweeney, Granddaughter, Amanda Slater Malone and husband Eric Malone, and Granddaughter, Shelby McSweeney, one sister Juanita Venters and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at Fellowship Baptist Church Athens, TX, May 30, 2015 at 3:00 pm with Bro. Mike Dean officiating. Condolences may be left at tomlinsonfuneral.com.
