James Craig Harris, born August 24th, 1952. Died September 26th, 2014. He was 62 years old. Craig was born and grew up in Dallas, Texas and was a 1970 Graduate of Bryan Adams High School. He worked at Ivey Lumber Co. part time in school. He attended the University of Houston before volunteering for the United States Marine Corps. After attending boot camp at Parris Island, North Carolina, his unit was deployed to Saigon, The Republic of Vietnam, in the closing days of the Vietnam War. Upon leaving the Marine Corps, Craig moved to the Lively community in Kaufman County, Texas, and participated in the cattle business until his death from heart disease. He is survived by his loving family; father James C. Harris, of Styx, sister Joyce Ann Fugit, and her husband Lonnie, of Houston, sister, Donna Harris of Dallas, bother David Harris, also of Styx, niece Joyce Faith Fugit and husband John Sigren, of Houston and nephew Jeremiah Carlyle Fugit of Washington, D.C. Interment will be at Kings Cemetery in Alley, next to his mother Anita Joyce Harris, that preceded him in death. Visitation will be held on Monday , September 29, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Huckabee/Tomlinson Funeral Home in Seven Points, TX Service will follow at 2:00 PM
