James "Jim" Allan Scrimshire

~~James "Jim" Allan Scrimshire, 91 years of age, of Kemp, TX, passed away on August 19, 2017 peacefully at home.
He was born on a small country cotton farm in Willow, AK. to the parents of Joe Allan Scrimshire and Lucy Isabella Goza- Scrimshire.
He served our great nation by joining the Army during WWII in 1944 and in 1946 James was Honorably discharged after being severely wounded. James is the recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.
He was a faithful Member, Deacon, and Sunday School Teacher for over 40 Years at First Baptist Church of Tool, Tool, Tx. 
He worked for the Internal Revenue Service and Cedar Creek MUD for many years.
James was preceded in death by his Father, Joe Allan Scrimshire, Mother, Lucy Isabella Scrimshire-Goza, Son, Perry Scrimshire and 6 Brothers.
Surviving are his Wife of 66 years, Maxine Scrimshire of Kemp, TX, Son, Hollis Scrimshire of Kemp, TX, Son, Max Scrimshire of Kemp, TX, Daughter-in-law, Linda Scrimshire of Tool, TX,  5 Sisters, Mildred of Arlington, TX, Aniece of Longview, WA, Janet of Fort Worth, TX, JoeAnn of Indiana, Melba of Malvern, AK, Grandson, Corey Scrimshire, Granddaughter, Cody Hamilton, Grandson, Kevin Scrimshire, Grandson, Sean Scrimshire, Grandson, Jan Michael Scrimshire, 10 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great-Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and loved ones.

Services are scheduled for Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Tool, interment to follow at Tool Cemetery, Tool, TX.
