Jerry Doris Brown

Jerry Doris Brown passed away on Thursday, September 24th. She was born August, 20, 1933 in Monroe, Louisiana to Doyle and Ethel Courtney. They moved to Malakoff where Jerry enjoyed growing up riding her horse and making lifelong friends. She earned a business degree from Kilgore Junior College and, she was also member of the Kilgore Rangerettes. She worked for Malakoff ISD and retired after twenty-five years.

Jerry loved spending time with her family and attending family gatherings. She was an active member of the First Methodist Church in Malakoff. Through the years she enjoyed playing bridge and golf, going to First Monday in Canton with her beloved friends and gardening.

Jerry is preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Neil Brown. She is survived by her three sons, Ray and Janet Brown of Malakoff, Jeffrey and Jolene Brown of Red Oak, and David and Shelia Brown of Star Harbor. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kelly Sides, Brad Eubanks, Nathan Brown, Aaron Eubanks, Natalie Brown, and Miles Brown, and several great grandchildren.

Due to the coronavirus, the funeral service will be held at the Malakoff Cemetery on Saturday, October 10th at 10:30 am.
