Jessie Mae Ellis

Jessie Mae Ellis passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022. She was born April 20, 1967 in Corsicana, TX to Elbert and Ruby Snowden. She attended school in Trinidad, TX.

She married her husband Mark Ellis November 9, 2002. They resided in Crossroads, TX. Together they had three children Lori Mae, Mark Clayton, and Michael Douglas Ellis and adopted children Buster Dean Snowden and Bralee Orren Wade. She attended church at Tri City Church. She loved wood crafting, and spending time with family. She enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. She also loved cooking and driving her mustang whom she named "Sally". She was known as momma Jessie to many who she loved dearly.

She is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Drew and Barbra Smith, paternal grandparents, Pinkey and George Snowden, daughter, Lori Mae Ellis, brother, Charles Donald Snowden, sister-in-law, Norma Jean Snowden, and her father Elbert Snowden.

She is survived by her husband, Mark Ellis of Crossroads, TX; son Mark Clayton and wife Halee Ellis of Crossroads, TX; son Michael Douglas Ellis of Crossroads, TX; mother Ruby Lee Snowden of Crossroads, TX; brothers Ronnie Elbert Snowden of Crossroads, TX, Tony Earl and wife Priscilla Snowden of Meridian, MS, sister Barbra Jean Lawson of Palestine, TX, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

Visitation for Jessie will be Friday, June 10, 2022 at Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home from 6-8 PM. Jessie's funeral service will be Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Tri City Church, Athens, TX with Matthew Allen officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Union Cemetery.
