Jewell Hope Penn, 84, of Tool, Texas passed away on September 25, 2014. The funeral is 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 29, at Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home in Seven Points, Texas. Visitation is Sunday 5:00:-7:00 p.m. Jewell was born on August 2, 1930 in Quinlan, Texas to Alta Lauri and Charles Brooks Langston. Raised in Fort Worth, Jewell attended Rosen Heights Baptist Church and graduated from North Side High School. She married the boy across the street, Billy Earl Penn, a geology student at Texas Christian University in 1948. Upon graduation, they moved to Houston, Texas where they raised two daughters. Jewell was active in her community as a volunteer at Ben Taub Hospital, school volunteer, and Camp Fire Girl leader. In later years, she live at her lake house on Cedar Creek Lake. She loved to travel, garden, and entertain. Jewell is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters; Bernice Barnes and Lilly Darnel, and brother; Burrell Langston. She is survived by a sister, Ola Kingsbury, two daughters, Patricia Keoughan and Glynna Ramsey Torres and husband, Jimmy; four grandchildren; Callie Keoughan, Morgan Keoughan, Matt Ramsey and Hayden Ramsey; and two great grandchildren, Paxton and Liam. She will be greatly missed.
