Jo Betsy Hennessee, 79, beloved wife and Mimi went to her heavenly home on May 1, 2024.
She entered this world on February 8, 1945 in Payne Springs, TX, born to E S "Dugan" and Minnie (Griffith) Hunter. She's loved by so many. She was the kind of caregiver who let youngsters know where they stood through her frank, unbridled expressions of love and support. Her spirit will carry on in the lives and hearts of all those she's touched. Known as Mimi to many, Jo loved flowers and her Malakoff Tigers.
Jo is preceded in death by her parents E S "Dugan" and Minnie Hunter; daughter Darinda Rogers; and sister Shannon LaJuan Bagwell.
She is survived by the love-of-her-life, for the past 60 years, David Hennessee; son-in-law Derek Rogers; siblings Haven Hunter Cox, Valdean Maddox; grandchildren Cameron Rogers, Colt Rogers; nieces and nephews Lisa Street, Dianna & Tommy Hayes, Kim & Chip Souza, Kathy & David Richard, Christy & Tim Savo, Chris & Julie Cox, and Jay Hansard.
A visitation will be at 9:00 AM, Monday May 6, 2024 at First Baptist Church Malakoff, service to follow at 10:00 AM, with Derek Rogers, Ken Jones and Gaylord Brown officiating.
Pallbearers are Cameron Rogers, Kyle Harris, Ethan Snow, Hunter Snow, Colt Rogers, and Willd Kujawa. Honorary pallbearers are all the babies she raised.
