John David Laseter, 86 of Trinidad, TX passed away on January 16, 2015 in Temple, TX. He was born on September 2, 1928 in Corsicana, TX to John William and Ruby Marion Stephens Laseter. John was a staff sergeant in the Air force and served in Germany. He owned his own mechanic shop and station called Henson and Laseter in Corsicana, TX. He worked at the power and gas plant in Trinidad. He would help anyone and everyone. He was the type of person that would do things at the convenience of others and not himself. When he had spare time he would spend it at the lake fishing. He married the love of his life Gladys Bridger on November 25, 1951 in Grand Prairie, TX. John is preceded in death by his parents, grandson Darren Feagin, brothers Donald Dean "Jimmy" Settlemyer, Ellis Settlemyer, Grover Marion Settlemyer and Ray Settlemyer.
He is survived by his wife Gladys, daughter Karen Feagin, son John Laseter, sister Elizabeth Phinney, granddaughters Tabitha Feagin and Serena Feagin, grandsons Jason Laseter, Ethan Laseter, John Laseter. His legacy continues with four great-grandchildren Jackzon, James, Abigail Laseter, and Bryan Feagin and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitors on January 22, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home, Malakoff, TX. Service for Mr. Laseter will be Friday, January, 23 at 10:00 at Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Hamilton Beamon Cemetery, Corsicana, TX.
