Jose S Gonzales

Jose S Gonzales age 80 of Malakoff, TX passed away in Tyler, TX on August 23, 2017.
Jose was born November 12, 1936 in Lubbock, TX one of seven children to Benito and Sefierina Sais Gonzales. 
In his early years, he was a Forest Fireman.  It was a time in his career journey that he was most proud of.  He then enjoyed his time as a mechanic and farming, gardening, and fishing.  His family loved his ability of storytelling.  He could keep everyone's attention for hours.
Jose is preceded in death by his parents Benito and Sefierina Gonzales, son Adam Gonzales, grandson Antonio Gonzales, brothers Jimmy Ledesme and Frank Ledesme, and sister Flora.
He is survived by his wife LaVonne Gonzales, son Samuel Gonzales and wife Michelle, daughter Eva Guerrero and husband Mario, son Paul Gonzales and wife Stephanie, daughter Martha Worcester and husband Vaughn, daughter Mary Jane Boeka and husband Marty, son Jose Gonzales, stepchildren Joseph Horton, John Horton, and Janice Stoner, brothers Matthew Ledesme, Domingo Ledesme, and Lois Gonzales.  Jose's legacy continues to live on with his grandchildren Rocky, David, Crystal, and Savannah Gonzales, Jakob and Lyndsie Ochoa, Paul Jr, Audrey, Tommy, Ashley, Ileana and Hannah Gonzales, Michelle Rodriquez, Joey Rodriquez, Laura Gonzales, Caitlin Guerrero, Patricia Mendoza, Samantha Vasquez, Desire Perez, Matthew Gonzales, Destiny Flores, Aaliyah Wilson, Maddison, Zach, Max, and Alex Boeka, Jose Anthony III Gonzales, Brenda, Santanna, and Hope Gonzales, and 48 great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mr. Gonzales will be Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 1-3 PM at Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home, Malakoff, TX and service will follow at 3 PM at the funeral home.
