Josephine Bennett, 84, of Tool, TX, beloved Mother, grandmother, sister and friend was called by her Blessed Savior to her eternal resting place on September 16, 2020. She entered this world on January 8, 1936 in Natchitoches, LA born to Charles Dillard and Dollie Mae Huddleston Brazzel. She was a beautiful person, both inside and out. She was a member of the Providence Baptist Church, in Tool, TX. She was a member of the Pilot Club of Athens, TX in the 70's and 80's. She was a co-business owner of Payne Marble for over 15 years. Josephine enjoyed her family and friends and looked forward to spending time with each. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Josephine was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Dollie Mae Brazzel; husband, Dale Bennett; sister, Jeannie Mc Cann and brother, Dub Brazzel.
She is survived by her daughter Tracey Crysdale and husband Chris; daughter JoAnna Kendall; and step-daughter Paula Hawthorne and husband Clay. Siblings: Allie Mae McClendon, Marie Louise Courtney, Charles Dillard "CD" Brazzel and brother-in-law James McCann. Her legacy lives on in her grandchildren Carson Nolan, Camryn Leigh Crysdale, Amy Wright and Jeni Mauldin as well as other family member and friends.
Family visitation will be held Saturday, September 19, 202; at 1:00pm at the Providence Baptist Church in Tool, TX.
Funeral service will follow at 2:00pm Saturday, September 19, 2020, at the Providence Baptist Church, Tool, TX.
Interment will be at 3:00pm at the Tool Cemetery. Services will be officiated by Bro. Steven Palmer, pastor of the Providence Baptist Church.
