Margaret "Margie" Hardy

October 24, 1933 — August 23, 2020

Margaret Ruth “Margie” Hardy 86, of Mineola, TX entered her heavenly home on August 23, 2020.  Margie’s beautiful smile will be greatly missed but those who know her, know her love for the Lord and know she is dancing and singing and having a great reunion in heaven.

Margie was born October 24, 1933, in Athens, Texas to Aubrey Lee Huckabee and Elizabeth Lucille Swain Huckabee.

She loved her service to the Lord.  She was a licensed and ordained minister and she spread his word as much as she could.  She ran a women’s home in Wills Point for several years. She also worked for The Way, Gospel Ministries.

She is preceded in death by her husband Samuel Weldon Haley Sr., parents Aubrey Lee Huckabee, Elizabeth Lucille Huckabee Brown, brother Daniel Huckabee, Kenneth Huckabee, sisters Sheryl Huckabee, Faye Cooper, Charlsie Reed, great-grandchildren Cameron Kupiec and Melany Fields.

Margie is survived by her sons Samuel Weldon Haley Jr. and wife Valerie, Jeffrey Lynn Haley and wife Marianne, Patricia Diane Scalici and husband Larry, brother Gerald Van Huckabee and wife Sharon, grandchildren Chariti and husband Casey Kupiec, Ashley and husband, Ben Washer, Megan and husband Michael Russo, Shannon and husband Matt Hall, Sonja Haley Warren, Samuel Robert Haley and wife Heather, Chrystal and husband Brandon Carter, Nathan Fields and Sean Scalici.  Her beautiful legacy will continue to live in her 21great grandchildren.  In March, her first great-great grandchild is due, as well as another one that will be due around the same time.

A celebration of her life will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home, Seven Points, TX.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorials be sent to Margie’s passion, The Salvation Army.
