Margarita Cruz Rodriguez-Martinez, 77 years old of Athens, TX passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at home surrounded by her family and friends.
Margarita was born in Anna Rose, TX to her parents; Adan and Petra Martinez on January 14, 1940.
She is preceded in death by her father, Adan Martinez, mother, Petra Martinez, husband Isreal Rodriguez Sr., daughter, Elizabeth Rodriguez, son, Joe Adam Rodriguez, brother, Danny Martinez, brother, Simon Martinez, sister, Guadalupe Guerro, granddaughter, Jessica Ann Rodriguez and great-grandson, Jacob Rodriguez.
She is survived by her son, Isreal Rodriguez Jr., daughter, Diana Salazar, daughter, Margarita Perez, daughter, Mary Lou Rodriguez, daughter, Elida Aguilar, sister, Eugenia Lazos, sister, Elida Alanize, sister, Aurora Hernandez, sister Anita Martinez, 19 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and a host of manty nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
Two nights of visitation will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 and on Sunday, October 22,2017 at Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home in Malakoff, TX from 6:00-8:00pm.
Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 23, 2017 at Mary Queen of Heaven Malakoff, TX at 11:00am with Father Lawrence officiating.
