Mark McCormack, 61, beloved husband, Pop, brother, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 2, 2024.
Mark was born In El Dorado, Arkansas on November 22, 1963 to Cherrill and Robert McCormack.
He and his wife Madonna moved to Trinidad in 2002. Mark was a master carpenter by trade. He was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and canning. He was involved with wildlife rescue, animal rescue, and volunteering at benefits and other events with the Trinidad VFW post.
Mark is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Cherrill McCormack, his birth father William Charles (Chuck) Johnson Sr., and his eight year old Johnson brother.
He is survived by the love of his life Madonna McCormack, children Michelle McCormack Pacheco and husband Kirby, Matthew McCormack and wife Kelsie, Natalie Meadville and husband Rylie, Sandra Pendergraft and husband Jack, Steven Lopez and wife Jessica, Jason Price and wife Brandi, brother Robert McCormack and wife Stephanie, sister Lisa Morris and husband Rick, his brothers and sisters from the Johnson family, Chuck Johnson, and Kimberly Mellard. Mark's legacy continues to live on in his grandchildren Skyler Kilgore, Aiden Kilgore, Jaxon Kilgore, Issaac Papke, Ellabelle McCormack, Riverlynn McCormack, Clinton Perdue, Virginia Webb, Dillon Perdue, Donna Archer, Raechal Lopez, Rebecca Lopez, John Lopez, Ashley Lopez, Carleigh Jo Price and eight great grandchildren.
Mark's favorite memories are marrying his wife and watching their children grow up and have families of their own. Other than being a carpenter his greatest accomplishment is being a dad to his six wonderful children.
Visitation will be December 6, 2024 from 6-8 PM at Huckabee Memorial Chapel, Seven Points, TX.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kyle Cleveland, Wesley Westbrook, Jerry Crocker, Jason Price, Matthew McCormack, Steven Lopez.
Service will be 11 AM December 7, at Huckabee Memorial Chapel with Pastor Bobby Fitzgerald officiating. Interment will be in Trinidad Cemetery.
Mark had a wonderful outlook on life and the advice he would leave us all is to "Live life to the fullest. Enjoy it but remember, God first and family second. Family isn't always blood. Family and God are everything. Don't forget to tell the people you love that you love them."
