~Marshall Everett Grimes, Jr., 64 of Trinidad, TX passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, May 9, 2017 in Athens, TX.Â
He was born in Sweetwater, TX, the son of Marshall Everett and Sammie Smith Grimes, Sr.
Marshall proudly served our country in the Army earning recognition as a sharpshooter with a M16 rifle and being honored with a National Defense Service Medal. He also enjoyed spending time with his wife and family.Â
Surviving are wife, Brenda Kay Cargill Grimes. Daughters: Brandy and husband Phil Johnson, Amanda and husband Steven Kinyk and Cheryl and husband Robert Holmes. Sisters Linda DuPont and Cheryl Zunker. His legacy continues with his nine grandchildren: Cynthia, Johnathan, Brittany, Nicky, Bella, Travis, Brenda, Linda and Michael.Â
He was preceded in death by his parents Marshall and Sammie Grimes;Â son, Michael Nathaniel Grimes; grandsons, Michael Ciro Kinyk and Antony Ciro Kinyk.
Pallbearers are:Â Steven Kinyk, Johnathan Kinyk, Phil Johnson, Billy House, Kelly Mangum and Robert Holmes.
Honorary Pallbearers are:Â Nick Diaz and Paul McLeod.
Friends will be received Monday, May 15, 2017 from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at the at the Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Homes, Seven Points, TX.
Funeral Services will be held at the Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Homes in Seven Points, TX on May 15, 2017 at 2:00 pm.
Interment will follow in the Trinidad City Cemetery in Trinidad, TX.
