Martha Deatley

Martha Deatley, 76 moved to her heavenly home on April 28, 2024.

Martha was born in Boswell, Oklahoma on June 6, 1947 to Johnny Hicks and Clara Walker Hicks. She loved children and spent many years in child care. Being part Cherokee, she has a great fondness of the Cherokee Nation Culture. Martha was a Pentecostal preacher and loved to read her Bible and talk to people about her Lord and Savior.

She is preceded in death by her parents Johnny and Clara, husband John Deatley, son John Earl Deatley Jr., brothers James Sweeney, Virgil Sweeney, a sister, grandson IT, great grandchildren Kimberly Pruitt, and Landon David.

Martha is survived by her daughter LaVonna McLaughlin and husband Patrick, Marsha Bautista and husband Frank, daughter Trudy Hawkins and husband Ron, Amanda Rogers and husband Dusty, son Johnny Tadlock and Christy, brother Joey Sweeney and wife Pam, grandchildren Christina Dickens and husband Michael, Marie Howe, Stacy Jordan and husband Kasey, Timmy Tadlock and fiance Stacy, Joshua Tadlock, Jessica Ward and husband Josh, Addison Tadlock, numerous great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by special friends Paula and Richard Matthews.

Visitation for Martha is 10:00 AM Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Full Gospel Tabernacle, Eustace, TX. Service will follow at 11:00 AM with Keith Williams officiating. Interment will be in Malakoff Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Tommy McLaughlin, Kasey Jordan, Michael Dickens, Bobby McLaughlin, Jacob Deatley, and Timothy Tadlock.
