PRESTON, Ruie Wynne, 91, of Trinidad, TX died Sunday, December, 12, 2021 in Gun Barrel City, TX after complications from a series of falls.
She was born on November 13, 1930 in Lexington, Oklahoma and was a resident of Trinidad for 30 years.
She is survived by her husband of 72 years Herman Preston of Trinidad, TX, son Greg Preston and his wife Diana of Argyle, TX, daughter Linda Preston Bouma and husband Scott of Bentonville, AR, and son Brad Preston of Fort Worth, TX; 6 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents William (Bill) Thomas Wynne and Mable Thomas Wynne.
Ruie was a bookkeeper, homemaker, loving mother, florist and enjoyed making crafts and pies for the bazaar at her church where she has been a member for 24 years. She also taught Sunday school at First Baptist Church in San Angelo, TX for over 18 years. Back in her days in San Angelo and Hurst, TX, she was known to throw a mean garage sale in the neighborhood along with several family and friends. She loved spending time with her family.
Services are scheduled for 2:30p, Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Cedar Creek Lake United Methodist Church in Tool, TX. Officiating the service will be Pastor Kristin Rockwell. Internment for the family will follow at Hamilton Beeman Cemetery in Corsicana, TX.
Pallbearers: Marcus Preston, Jason Harbin, Holden Prince, Chip Prude, Craig Hirschfelt, and Mike Lovelace. Honorary pallbearers: Bryan Jordan and Gary Miller.
Services are under the direction of Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home in Malakoff , TX.
The family will receive friends and relatives at Cedar Creek Lake United Methodist Church in Tool, TX from 1:00-2:30p on Thursday, December 16, 2021.
