Suzanne Charlotte Hazzard

Suzanne Charlotte Hazzard, 85 years old of Kemp, TX, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Cedar Lake Nursing Home, Malakoff, TX.  She was born in Detroit, MI, September 1932, daughter of Haroldbyrne Friend Smith and Virginia Meador Smith. 
Suds, as she was known to at the Nursing Home; graduated high school in 1950 from Nazareth Academy in Nazareth, MI. 
She was a loving mother and a great cook who liked to spoil her family with her fabulous meals.  She was a great mom whose family was her life.
Suzanne was an avid bowler having won many trophies, bags, pins and balls during her lifetime.  She worked for the VA in Michigan as a bookkeeper for many years. 
She retired from Marriott Hotels as the night audit manager before completely retiring from the Dallas city life and moving to the Cedar Creek Lake area.
Her family survivors are Daughters, Martha Decker and husband Ken of Kemp and Loretta Beth Fussell of Tyler; Sisters, Merrilyn Beauchemin of Houston and Jewel Linke of St. Charles, MO.  Her legacy continues with Grandson, Jason Wells and Granddaughters, Whitney Coke-Wells, Lennox Wells.
She was preceded in death by Father, Haroldbyrne Friend Smith, Mother, Virginia Pover, Grandson, Robert John Wells, Nephew, Timothy Beauchemin, Brother in law, Bob  Beauchemin, and one brother.
Family memorial service will be held later.
