Thelma Taylor Erwin of Gun Barrel City passed away on January 31, 2014 at the age of 88. Thelma was born on November 23, 1925 in Wolf City, TX to Sanford and Elsie McKay Belcher. Thelma joined the Baptist Church of Oyster Creek of Wolf City, TX and accepted Christ at age 15, she was later Baptized at Alber Fole, TX in a creek bed . She was former member of Forest Lawn Baptist Church. Thelma married Hal Taylor in 1942, Hal passed away in 1991and in later years she married Lawrence Erwin. She is survived by her sons, Carl Lee Taylor of Kemp, TX, Gerald Lynn and wife Diane Taylor of Gun Barrel City, TX and Rickie and wife Diane Taylor of Grand Saline, TX, daughter, Patricia and husband Pete Branson of Mineola, TX, brothers, David and wife Pat Belcher of Denison, TX and Sanford Jr. and wife Irene Belcher of Sulphur Springs, TX, sister, Janice and husband Don Taylor of Plano, TX, grandchildren, Randy Branson, Gwen and husband Rich Dowdy, Gerald and wife Michelle Taylor, Wendy and husband Wayne Tunnell, Kim and husband Kato Hill, Ricky and wife Donna Taylor, Becky and husband Max Henderson, 20 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sanford and Elsie Belcher, husband, Hal Taylor, brothers, Roy Lee, Richard , James, Doyle and Daryl Belcher.
