Verna Chandler

Verna Chandler, 74, beloved mother, grandmother and sister; was called to her eternal resting place on June 15, 2023.

She entered this world on September 27, 1948 in Linden, TX, born to Troy and Vera (Warrick) Ward. She was a faithful member of New Beginnings Baptist Church in Kemp, TX. She loved family reunions as well as fishing.

She is preceded in death by parents Troy and Vera Ward; brothers Troy Ward & Steve Ward; great-granddaughter Mia Skie Jackson; nephew Jerry Thomas and granddaughter Chelsea Crecy.

She is survived by her spouse Ronald Chandler. Her legacy continues with her children Delania Denise Jackson, David Glenn Crecy, Darren Dueane Crecy; grandchildren Kendra Jackson, Kayla Jackson, Jack Jackson Jr.; great-grandchildren Doss Chandler, Alley Chandler, Jayla Jackson, Leah Richardson, Josh Richardson; siblings Patricia Newton, Autry Ward and Dennis Ward.

Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Chapel, 100 Tomlinson Lane, Seven Points, TX will host a visitation at 10:00 AM, Friday June 23, 2023, followed by a service at 11:00 AM, at the same location. Bro. Shawn Garrett will officiate.
