Virginia Gaston

Our precious mother/grandmother Kay Gaston passed away peacefully Saturday morning, October 21, 2023.

She was born February 28, 1939 in Dallas, TX, to Floyd and Mary Smith.

She married her soul mate A D Gaston and raised their children in Malakoff, TX. Kay retired from Cedar Lake Nursing Home. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending her time raising beautiful Ivy's, playing BINGO, and doing Word Search Puzzles. Her favorite singer was John Fogerty.

Kay is preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Mary Smith, her husband A D Gaston, son Robert Gaston, great-grandsons Kyle and Levi Gaston, sisters Francis, Margie, Betty, and Donna.

She is survived by her son Arlie Glen Gaston, son Dale Gaston and wife Tammy, daughter Darla Ott and husband Richard, brother Jimmy Cheshier and wife Jean, sister Connie Jackson and husband Ricky, grandchildren Bobby Perez, Jeff Gaston, Ronnie Gaston, Angela Fouse, Johnny Gaston, Damon Ott, Brandon Ott, Chris, Robert Jr., Alesha, and Madelyn, great grandchildren Allison Fouse, Nathyn Fouse, Briana Gaston, Kinsley Gaston, Eden Sorrells, Matthew Sorrells, Kylie Robinson, David Ott and Madison Gaston.

Visitation will be 12:30 PM Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home, Malakoff, TX. Graveside service will follow at Malakoff Cemetery with Bro. Casey Perry officiating.
