Weta Mae Spivey

Weta Mae Spivey stepped peacefully into the arms of her heavenly Father early Friday morning September 16, 2016 while residing at the South Place Nursing Home in Athens, TX. She was born 83 years ago in Tool, TX on Tarapin Ridge to the happy parents of I.D. Hearne and Lillie Hamner Hearne. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church, Tool, TX. She is survived by her loving husband Bobby Spivey; sons, Charles Spivey and Phillip Spivey and wife Brenda; daughter, Pam Spivey; and sister, Cleo and husband Edward Jones. Granddaughters, Angie and husband Chuck Brown, Cindy and husband Kerry Harris, Valarie and husband Kevin Pagitt, numerous great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents I.D. and Lillie Hearne. Daughter Vickie Barnes, son Kenny Spivey, brother Jack and sisters Polly, Vera, Sara and Johnnie. Friends and family will be received Saturday, September 17, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home, Seven Points, TX. A graveside service will be held at the Tool Cemetery, Tool, TX, Sunday, September 18, 2016 at 2:00 pm. The family would like to extend a special thanks and appreciation to Genesis Hospice and Southplace Place Nursing Staff.
