Willard C Wood

Willard C. Wood Jr. age 73 passed away on March 5 in Italy, TX. Willard was born in Laredo, AR on August 8, 1940 to Willard C. Wood Sr. and Bernice Snow Wood. Willard graduated High School in Malakoff and attended Henderson County Junior College. He loved sports. He was a big Texas fan of the Longhorns, Cowboys, and Rangers. He enjoyed playing golf and cherished his hole in one trophy. He was a good man, loving husband, father, and g-paw. He married his beautiful wife Juathenia Abbott on January 17, 1959 in Malakoff, TX. He is survived by his wife Juathenia Wood, daughter Robin Kline and husband Jim, daughter: Patricia Holman and husband Dana, son: Clayton Wood and wife Julie, sisters: Patsy Spivey, and Jean Massingill and husband Royce, grandchildren: Stephanie & husband Colin, Elisha & husband Derick, Andrea & husband Eric, Travis & wife Trish, Jamie & husband Jasen, Alex, Clay, Daniel & Cheyenne, Kaycee & husband Cole, Kenzie, Kendall, Quinton, and Logan. Willard's legacy continues to grow with his great-grandchildren Hailey, Kaleb, Madison, Cole, Kehli, Brooklyn, and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial service for Mr. Wood will be Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Providence Baptist Church, Tool, TX. Service will be under the direction of Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
