Zilla Jackson Cook, born July 18, 1918, passed away April 11, 2015 at the age of 96. Zilla was a teacher in Malakoff and a member of First United Methodist Church, after moving to Arlington Zilla became a member at Rush Creek Christian Church. Zilla was an avid quilter and made quilts for all her family and for charity. She is survived by her son, Jack and wife Jeanne Cook, daughter, Zeldajean Byrd. Grandchildren, Andrea and husband John Brotze, Meredith and husband David Berry, Glenn Williams, Mark Williams, great-grandchildren, Madison, Brooke and Rachel Brotze, nephew, Jeff Horn and many great nieces and nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mae Jackson, husband, Roy Ezell Cook, sister, Ella Horn. Graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Malakoff Cemetery in Malakoff, TX.
