Obituary of Darrell Rolison
James " Darrell" Rolison 1938 — 2019
James Darrell Rolison, age 80 of Irving, Texas, died at his home on
January 29, 2019. Services will be at Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home in Seven Points, Texas at 12:00 noon Saturday, February 2, with visitation preceding the service at 10:00 a.m.
Mr. Rolison was born in Eustace, Texas, on March 22, 1938, to J.D. Rolison and Juanita Elizabeth Gore Rolison. He was married to Dorothy Mason Rolison in 1983.
Darrell was employed by Trinity Industries and various other companies in his earlier years, as well as being self-employed until his retirement. He was a very innovative person and successful in his many ventures during his lifetime.
His hobbies and interests throughout his life were motorcycles, shooting pool, competition barbecue cooking, singing karaoke, and his classic 1959 Chevrolet Apache truck.
He was preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings.
Darrell is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of Irving, Texas; three daughters, Vicki L. Davis of Kaufman, Texas, Dwana L. McKee of Plano, Texas and Deborah L. Thomas of Red Oak, Texas; two sons, Jerry D. Rolison of Jasper , Texas and Kevin Rolison of Georgetown, Texas; a stepson, David Powell and wife, Tina of Irving, Texas; three sisters, Maggie Morris of Mabank, Texas, Emma Dixon and Cynthia Herron of Eustace, Texas; one brother, Billy Walls of Eustace, Texas; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be David Powell, Bill McKee, Tim Thomas, J.D. Robbins, Brody Davis, and Thomas Rolison.
Interment will follow in the Goshen Cemetery in Eustace, TX.
Services are under the direction of the Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Homes of Seven Points, Texas.
